According to the company’s strategy, the Redmi Note 12 series, which will hit the market in the second half of the year, will focus on performance. Redmi Note 12 will be equipped with a high-performance MediaTek single-chip system. Presumably, we are talking about a high-performance MediaTek Dimensity 800 or Dimensity 1300 processor. Sources confirm that Redmi Note 12 could be the most powerful smartphone in the mid-range segment. Dimensity 1300 is manufactured in TSMC’s 6nm process. The octa-core CPU contains 4 Cortex-A78 cores, of which 1 Cortex-A78 super-core runs at a base frequency of up to 3.0 GHz. In addition, there are 4 Cortex A55 cores with a base frequency of 2.0GHz. Finally, this SoC includes the ARM Mali-G77 MC9 graphics accelerator. As for the Dimensity 8000, it is supposed to be a downclocked version of the Dimensity 8100. This 5nm platform consists of four large Cortex A78 cores and four small Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.85GHz. The Redmi Note 12 will also have a sleek design and a good battery life.
