However, not long after that Samsung later denied the sales figures, saying that Sohn might mention the initial sales target for 2019. Galaxy Fold, which has a 7.3-inch screen that can be folded horizontally like a book, officially went on sale in September 2019 for around US $2,000. While in Nigeria, the smartphone is priced at N739,000 naira (click here to check out price). Many analysts estimate that Samsung will sell around 400,000 to 500,000 units of folding screen smartphones this year. Meanwhile, Koh said that Samsung will introduce a new ‘clamshell’ folding screen phone in the near future.
