The wholesome steps taken by China to stop the virus epidemic indeed require manufacturers in the country, including Xiaomi, to change their calendars. Xiaomi said some models have to wait several weeks to be able to get MIUI 11 based on Android 10 updates. Quoting Gizchina, in a statement published on Weibo social media, Xiaomi revealed about the work stoppage caused by the epidemic in China. As a precaution, the Chinese Government actually prefers to close most of the country’s businesses and factories. But a few days ago, some activities were reopened. For the same reason, Apple will face iPhone supply shortages in the first quarter of this year. In a press release, Xiaomi determined that the latest beta MIUI 11 is not available on time for some phones, namely Mi CC9 Pro, Mi 9, Mi 8, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 6, Redmi K30, Redmi K30 5G, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi MIX 2S. They promised to distribute MIUI 11.2 20.2.19 in beta in the coming weeks for the phones. Xiaomi isn’t the only brand that changed its plans because of the plague. Other Chinese brands, such as OnePlus, Vivo, and Realme are also experiencing the same difficulties. OnePlus, for example, was forced to postpone the spread of security patches on OnePlus 7T for two weeks. The same thing happened to Realme which suspended the firmware update for its Realme X2. Likewise, Vivo was also forced to postpone the latest update to their Funtouch interface.
